Just Finished digitizing this view of the 2018/2019 Honda GL1800 Goldwing. It took about 7 hours or so. This is 10″ wide and is for a shirt back. The smaller version for shirt fronts is available as well. This is available in my store, just specify 2018 / 2019 and you can order shirts, patches etc.
Added some new products to the store today. We are offering Hanes Beefy T’s with an Embroidered Goldwing, Custom Outline Logo, or Goldwing Trike on them.
You can specify the color for the bike and you can have customer text if you like, or just keep the “Too Far, Too Fast, Too Often…” text.
In order to be able to do quality motorcycle embroidery where I can scale the image up or down and not lose any stitch density, I have to digitize the image myself. I could send a picture off to one of the digitizing houses and they would send me back a file thats a specific size and I would be able to scale up or down maybe 20% before the embroidery quality suffers. The goal of a good digitizing file is that there are as few color changes as possible and as few color stops as possible. A color stop is where the embroidery machine will tie off the stitch and then cut the thread. It’s much more efficient to have embroidery that stitches, does a running stitch to the next area and then lays down more embroidery stitches and so forth. It’s very time consuming to get a perfectly digitized embroidery file, but with practice and some planning before starting the job, it can be done. When you want to get your motorcycle done in embroidery, you want to have someone who can make changes as your motorcycle changes!
When you have the digitizing file, it’s easier to make changes such as adding a backrest, adding chrome trim pieces, changing the pipes etc. This allows Dry Heat Embroidery to do true CUSTOM MOTORCYCLE EMBROIDERY and not just simple color changes and text changes. Goldwing Trikes: I’ve been spending lots of time digitizing some GL1800 Goldwing Trikes for my riding brothers and sisters since there aren’t a lot of embroidery sources out there for them for patches, shirts, hats etc. It takes me an average of around 7 hours to digitize a new manufacturers Goldwing Trike. Because I digitize the Trikes myself, I have full control over what color the Trikes are and what accessories I can put on them to match the customers Trike.
The GL1800 Trikes on shirt backs are about 10″ long and at an angle to show the trike seating and profile. Here’s some pictures of some of the recent embroidery that we’ve done, GL1800 trike shirts, Goldwing trike patches and GL1800 trike hats with shirts.
